COM-T Faculty can now reserve one of the College’s two new ZOOM teaching studios built by COM IT based on a design shared from Johns Hopkin’s School of Engineering and created specifically for teaching students in ZOOM.  These two new ZOOM teaching studios are high-tech workspaces pre-configured with two 55” Large screen TVs — one ideal for a gallery view of students that promotes faculty and students interaction and one for shared content such as PowerPoints, videos, drawings, and/or notes for class. The studios feature a one-button click to operate setup to ensure ease of use but provide exceptional capability and offer a combination of seamlessly integrated hardware and software:

  • High-quality cameras and microphones
  • A whiteboard and whiteboard camera
  • Zoom Room Controller (IPad)
  • An adjustable standing desk
  • LED Lights

The Zoom teaching studios can also be used to support grand rounds and remote presentations.  Please be aware that credit-bearing courses in the MD curriculum take priority over all other events.

You can reserve the ZOOM Teaching Studios from the AHSC Resource Scheduling under COM-T Rooms 3113 and 3114. Additional details can be found at  ZOOM Teaching Studios

COM IT provides complete technical support and services to the operation of the two studios.  If you need to see a demo or have any questions, please contact us through COMHelp or call us at (520) 626-8721.
