Zoom Scheduled Outage - July 1st
Overview: Scheduled Outage: UAHS Zoom Merge to Arizona Zoom
Services Affected: UAHS ZOOM
Date and Time: Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Impact to users: ZOOM may be unavailable during the scheduled outage
Planned Operation: The UAHS Zoom system, normally accessed through uahs.zoom.us will be merged into the arizona.zoom.us system on Wednesday, July 1 from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. to have all Zoom accounts at the University of Arizona within a single Zoom license. This will allow improved collaboration, cost reduction, and simplified integration with D2L, while maintaining distributed administration.
UITS Academic Technologies, working with the Office of Instruction and Assessment (OIA), UAHS IT leadership and Zoom have been testing the merge and will manage this migration.
Current meetings and webinars that have been scheduled on the UAHS Zoom system will automatically be moved to Arizona Zoom and the URL link uahs.zoom.us will be redirected to arizona.zoom.us. We encourage all users to start scheduling meetings on arizona.zoom.us immediately after the merge. Please note that:
- All meetings in your Outlook calendars will remain valid.
- User profile settings and saved recordings will be preserved.
- D2L courses that have Zoom meetings as part of the course content will also be migrated.
