MedLearn

MedLearn is the learning system you will use throughout your education with the College of Medicine - Tucson.

For additional help and user guides, please go to https://meddocs.medicine.arizona.edu where we have short videos and step by step instructions.

To log into MedLearn:

  1. Navigate to https://medlearn.medicine.arizona.edu
  2. Click "Login via UA NetID WebAuth"
  3. Login with your NetID and Password
  4. On login you will be navigated to your MedLearn Dashboard

To subscribe to the MedLearn calendar in your desired calendar app:

        1. Log into MedLearn
        2. Click the "Dashboard" tab
        3. Click "Subscribe to Calendar or Download Calendar"
        4. Click the blue "Subscribe to Calendar" button
        A popup will ask to open the calendar in your default calendar app
        5. Click Open

NOTE: It can take a couple of hours for changes to reflect on the downloaded calendar. This is not an issue with MedLearn as the update times are handled by your calendaring app. Always refer to the website calendar on your dashboard for up-to-date changes as these update immediately.

Work-Based Assessment (WBA) is a reliable, valid form of assessment in use in medical education for over ten years. WBAs are used to provide regular assessments of student progress across Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs). The transparency in student progress in clerkship, the autonomy provided to the student in seeking their own assessments and feedback, reduction in bias in grading, and alignment with our school’s competency-based education philosophy were all reasons approved at TCCS and TEPC committees to adopt WBAs for clerkship.
Students are provided a survey link at the beginning of clerkship phase through which they can seek competency-based feedback. Results are then visible to students via a WBA dashboard report for maximum transparency.
